Description
Maraging 300 (UNS K93120) is a nickel-based ultra-high-strength steel alloy known for its exceptional mechanical properties, including tensile strengths around 300 ksi (2068 MPa) after aging. Unlike traditional high-strength steels, it contains minimal carbon and gains its strength through precipitation hardening, not carbon martensite.
This makes it easily machinable and weldable in its annealed condition, while delivering superior performance in critical applications post-heat treatment. It is widely used in aerospace structures, missile casings, motorsport components, die casting tooling, and 3D printing (as powder).
