Description
2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel (UNS S32750) is a high-alloy duplex stainless steel designed for applications that demand exceptional corrosion resistance, strength, and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance—especially in environments rich in chlorides, brines, or seawater.
With a balanced ferritic-austenitic structure and a high alloy content of 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel, 2507 offers a PREN > 40, delivering superior protection against pitting and crevice corrosion. It delivers twice the yield strength of 316L and excellent weldability and fatigue strength.
2507 is widely used in offshore oil & gas platforms, desalination equipment, chemical process plants, and pressure vessels, where failure is not an option. It complies with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour gas environments.
