Description
Zeron® 100 (UNS S32760) is a super duplex stainless steel developed for extreme applications requiring maximum strength, pitting resistance, and excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC). With high contents of chromium (~25%), molybdenum (3.6%), tungsten, and nitrogen, Zeron® 100 provides an outstanding PREN > 40, making it ideal for aggressive seawater, brine, acid, and chloride-rich environments.
This alloy delivers exceptional mechanical performance, with yield strength over twice that of 316L, along with excellent crevice and pitting corrosion resistance. Zeron® 100 is widely used in offshore oil & gas, desalination, mining, subsea equipment, and chemical processing where conventional stainless steels fail.
The material is supplied in the ferritic-austenitic (duplex) microstructure and meets critical specifications like NORSOK MDS D55 and NACE MR0175 for sour service applications.
